Throttle Shaft Screw
These Screws hold the butterfly plates to the throttle shaft but are 1-3mm shorter than the factory screws. These shorter screws caused a customer to ask for the best suggestion to make the screws stay put. The following came from PMO when I asked the question:
PMO recommends Loctiting them in. The staking the factory did was with some kind of hydraulic nipper that actually bumped up the throttle shaft. That is why you have to file down the throttle shaft at that location or else you tear a bigger throttle shaft hole when you pull the shaft through.
Loctite is better! When we try to take the screws out of our carbs, the Loctite puts up more of a fight than the Weber factory nipping.
Also, there is better air flow without the ragged end of the screw sticking out! And there's less chance of buggering up the shaft with staking.
