This kit is needed when converting from fuel injection to a carburettor system. Everything you'll need to keep your carbs cool in a handy kit! The Kit includes 12 longer studs, 6 Hard PLASTIC insulators, 12 gaskets that go on each side of the insulators and 6 gaskets that go under the carb base.
Please provide - Size of Carb - i.e. 40IDA, 48IDA, etc. And the year and model of the engine - i.e., '81, 3.0L (or the size of the port opening in the head). This info will help us provide the proper parts.
Please note: These Spacers go between the intake manifolds and the heads - NOT on top of the intake manifolds. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE CIS HEADS WITH NOTCHES FOR INJECTORS MACHINED INTO THE INTAKE PORT, THESE PLASTIC SPACERS WILL NOT BLOCK OFF THOSE NOTCHES BY THEMSELVES. THEY CANNOT WITHSTAND THE PRESSURE AND WILL EVENTUALLY LEAK. WHEN THE LEAK STARTS, THE VACUUM LEAK WILL CAUSE A LEAN CONDITION AND VALVES WILL BE BURNED. THIS WILL REQUIRE AN ENGINE DISASSEMBLY TO REPAIR! THE CORRECT WAY TO PROCEED TO BLOCK THE NOTCHES IS TO INSTALL PMO MANIFOLDS.
